Privacy

This page is maintained by the Hui team to answer common privacy questions about the app. It is not a legal notice or a certification.

What Hui collects

Hui is designed to work without user accounts. When you create a poll we store the details you submit:

  • Poll title, optional description, and optional location
  • The date options or search window you configure
  • The organizer name and email you enter
  • An optional voting deadline and the poll's timezone

When someone votes we store the name and email they type in, along with their availability for each option. We do not require them to create an account.

We do not sell any of this data, and we do not use it for advertising.

How your email is used

The organizer email is used once to send the manage link and share link for the poll you just created. Voter emails are stored with the vote so the organizer can tell responses apart and follow up if needed. We do not add anyone to a marketing list.

Cookies and tracking

Hui does not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. The app stores a small amount of data in your browser (such as your theme choice) to make the site work. That's it.

Who can see a poll

Anyone who has the poll's share link can view the poll and cast a vote. Only someone with the private manage link (a long random token) can edit or delete the poll. Treat the manage link like a password — share it only with people you trust to run the poll.

How long we keep poll data

Polls and their votes are automatically deleted 90 days after the poll's voting deadline, or 90 days after creation when no deadline is set. You can also delete a poll at any time from its manage page, which removes the poll and every vote associated with it.

Deletion and privacy requests

To delete a poll you created, open your manage link and use the delete button. To request removal of a vote, or to ask a privacy question, email iven@ivensugai.ai.

Where data is stored

Hui runs on a managed cloud backend (database, auth, and email delivery). Data is stored and processed by those providers on the app maintainer's behalf. This page describes practices under the app maintainer's control; it doesn't grant any regulatory certification.

Changes to this page

We may update this page as the app changes. The most current version always lives at /privacy.
